YOUR GARDEN · YOUR BEES · YOUR HONEY
MANAGED RESIDENTIAL BEEKEEPING · LOS ANGELES
Pollen brings beautifully managed beehives to private homes across Los Angeles. We install the hive, care for the colony throughout the seasons, and make the experience effortless, so you can simply enjoy the presence of bees, watch your garden flourish over time, and discover honey shaped by the landscape around you.
HOW IT WORKS
1
SITE VISIT
We begin with a conversation, followed by a complimentary visit to understand your garden and identify the best setting for a hive.
2
INSTALLATION
We install the hive and colony with careful attention to placement, access, local requirements and the character of your home.
3
ONGOING CARE
Your Pollen beekeeper manages the colony throughout the year, with visits scheduled around the needs of the bees and the season.
4
HARVEST
When the season allows, we harvest honey from your surroundings and present it in a Pollen jar bearing your address.
DESIGNED TO FIT QUIETLY INTO YOUR HOME
You don’t need to become a beekeeper to have bees in your garden. Visits are coordinated with you in advance and can be as discreet as you prefer; all we need is access to the hive.
If you work with a gardener or landscape team, we can also share simple guidance whenever useful. You’re always welcome to join an inspection, or leave the hive entirely in our hands.
●
A LIVING RHYTHM, ROOTED IN NATURE
A hive brings a subtle new rhythm to the garden. As the bees settle in and quietly go about their work, they forage across the surrounding landscape, moving pollen from flower to flower and becoming part of the life already growing around your home.
The hive is yours to experience. The care stays with us.
BEFORE BRINGING A HIVE HOME
Three considerations for a thoughtful start-
The first season is often about building strength, and many gardens see their first meaningful harvest in the second.
-
They give us a valuable point of comparison and allow one colony to support the other when needed.
-
We consider sun, access, water, neighboring properties and local requirements before recommending an installation. If we don’t believe it’s the right fit, we’ll tell you.
